Do I have to be registered?

Most of the staff and students account have been automatically created in the portal. 

·         for Staff

Please use your email Id prefix as your User Name, e.g. 'jdoe@portal.unimas.my' where the User Name would be 'jdoe'.  Your password is your IC/Passport Number (as used in the payslip) ending with the letter 'P' as for e.g. 201010135555P.

·         for Student (Session 2007/2008-2 and before)

Please use your Matric Number as your User Name .  Your password will be your IC/Passport Number (as used in the result slip) ending  with the letter 'P' as for e.g. 201010135555P.

·         for Student (Session 2008/2009-1 and after)

Your password is the one set during the New Student Registration, same with E-Daftar.

New user can request new account from portal administrator.  You will be prompted later to change the password before continuing.

 

Do change your password immediately when you are prompted to do so…It must be at least 6-characters long and must consist at least 1 number e.g. passwd1

 

 

What is my old password?

Your old password is :

·         either, your current password

·         or, the password that was given to you by the Portal Admin after you request for a new password or after you request to unlock your blocked/locked account.  For example the Portal Admin gave you 123abc as your new password.  Firstly, use that    password to login at the 'Sign in to Anjung UNIMAS".  Then you will encounter a page that asks you to enter Old Password, New Password and Confirm New Password.  The old password is 123abc.

 

How do I change my password?

If you would like to change your Portal password, just sign in to your portal account with your current password and click the Change Password link at the top of the page.  You will be asked to re-enter your current password for verification.

 

Please note: To better protect your account, make sure that your password is memorable for you, and do not share your password with anyone.  For security purposes, your new password must be a minimum of five alphanumeric characters.

 

 

 

Why doesn’t my password work?

They are several reasons why you might be getting an “Authentication failed. Please try again” error message:

 

  • Set your CAPS LOCK key correctly.  Passwords are case sensitive (meaning that “PASSWORD”, “PaSsWoRd” and “password” are not equivalent), so be sure to keep this in mind when entering your password.
  • Sign in with the correct Portal ID.  Make sure that you are using the correct Portal ID when signing in to your account.  If you have forgotten your Portal ID, you can contact portal administrator.
  • Clear your browser’s cache.  At times it’s necessary to clear your browser’s cache.  The cache is the memory your browser uses to store content of the web pages that you visit.  Storing the content lets your browser load those same pages more quickly the next time you visit them.

 

If you’re still having problems, please request a new password.  After you receive your new password, you can change it.

 

 

 

What if I don’t have an account?  How do I register?

To sign up for UNIMAS Portal services, click the Request for Account link at the login page.  You will be asked to fill in the particular field for Staff number, Office contact number and Designation.  Click Submit button to send the information to portal administrator through local email service.  Your request will be attended to within 1 working day.

You can always contact portal administrator through contact us link at the page footer.
